Anwar Visits Ciganjur for Area Monitoring and Aid Distribution

South Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar, along with his staffs, conducted an area monitoring to a number of locations in Ciganjur Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-district. During the visit, Anwar also distributed assistance to underprivileged residents.

We're pleased to see so many improvements in our neighborhood,"

Anwar explained that the monitoring aimed to ensure the development projects in the area are progressing well according to expectations.

"First, we monitor the construction of a retaining wall in Ciganjur, which stretches around 300 meters," he shared on Friday (10/10).

He explained that the new wall should help prevent flooding from Anak Setu River affecting residential areas.

"Alhamdulillah, since the wall has been built, there has been no more water overflow into nearby neighborhood. Once it's fully completed, I hope it will be even more effective," he added.

Anwar also encouraged his staffs to show greater concern for those in need.

"Today, I also handed over assistance to 40 orphans in here," he mentioned.

According to him, the monitoring visit was also an opportunity to gather inputs from residents and help find solutions to their concerns.

"For example, there's a musala in need of roof repairs, a new sound system, and traditional musical instruments (hadroh). We will follow up on these needs by coordinating with the relevant parties. I assure you, they will be addressed in the near future," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Sony, Head of RW 02 Ciganjur, expressed his appreciation for the special attention shown by the South Jakarta Mayor.

Sony especially appreciated Anwar's commitment to addressing local concerns, including repairing the roof of Musala Nurul Hikmah, which had become unsafe for worshippers.

"We're pleased to see so many improvements in our neighborhood. From retaining wall construction to today's community dialogue. We hope activities like this will continue so residents can keep benefiting," he said.
